Roadside Blooms is renovating a space in the back of the shop to become The Understory!
Welcome to The Understory—a cozy, private, intentional space nestled in the back of Roadside Blooms. Designed as a sanctuary for seekers, healers and creatives. The Understory is available to practitioners looking to host pop-ups and offer one-on-one experiences such as:
- Reiki and energy healing
- Tarot and intuitive readings
- Bodywork, accupuncture and massage
- Holistic facials and skincare
- Book clubs and gatherings
- Other aligned offerings that nourish the body, spirit and community
We believe in supporting small businesses, cultivating soulful connections and offering our customers experiences that go deeper. If you’ve been looking for a welcoming space to share your gifts, The Understory might be your next stop.
What We Offer
- A beautiful, quiet and curated space inside Roadside Blooms
- A 15x15 private room with a private bathroom and natural light
- Promotion of your offering on our social media and newsletter
- Customers who book with you receive 15% discount to use in the shop the day of their service
- A welcoming, high-vibe atmosphere that values intention and impact
Rental Details
- Your first pop-up is free to see if we are a good fit for one another
- After that, use of The Understory is $50/day Monday - Saturday and $40 on Sunday (during regular shop hours)
- Cancellations made fewer than 7 days in advance are nonrefundable
- Practitioners keep 100% of earnings and handle their own payments and bookings
Marketing & Mutual Investment
We’ll promote your offering through Roadside Blooms’ channels however, practitioners are ultimately responsible for promotion and booking their own clients. Each practitioner must offer one complimentary session or sampler session to a selected Roadside Blooms team member. They’ll likely become your biggest cheerleader!
Availability & Setup Times
- 10 AM until 5:30pm Monday–Wednesday
- 10 AM until 6:00pm Thursday - Saturday
- 10 AM until 2:00pm on Sundays
Set up can start 30 minutes before we open, but must be packed out by shop close.
Extended hours available at $30/hour to cover staff time or key access if owner allows
Practitioner Requirements:
- Proof of valid business license
- Current liability insurance for those performing body work (massage, facials, etc.)
- Signed waiver releasing Roadside Blooms from liability for services rendered
- Roadside Blooms is not responsible for client transactions or outcomes of services.
