Toni and her team at Roadside Blooms are thrilled to host their 3rd Foraged Collective experience, an ethereal inspired floral workshop, Charleston, South Carolina. We are a dedicated Slow Flowers Member and will focus on foam free designs using 100% American and locally grown flowers!
Join us as we engage in meaningful instruction from Rachel & Lauren of Sweet Root Village, two of the most dynamic and beloved designers of our time.
During our 2019, sold out experience with Sweet Root Village, Rachel & Lauren shared the ins and outs of their business, their processes, and guided designers through many large-scale installations.
Back by popular demand, these ladies will bring fresh ideas, and their open-book attitude, as we all deepen our floral experience to take our businesses to the next level.
Roadside Blooms gets much joy in creating a magical and meaningful experience for all of the designers who participate. Our 1st Foraged Collective workshop from 2017 which featured Ponderosa & Thyme, Bows and Arrows, and Jennie Love was a huge success. The 2nd Foraged Collective workshop with Sweet Root Village in the summer of 2019 was equally as inspiring and loved.
With the help of Amy DeVito of Buttercup Events, we have curated a luxury experience for our guests. From the beautiful rooms at the boutique Restoration Hotel, to the florals, to the food, no detail has been overlooked. Designers of all levels are invited to join this intimate workshop atmosphere, limited to 25.
This 2.5 day intensive workshop will focus mainly on building large beautiful installations. From conception, ordering, installation and troubleshooting, Rachel & Lauren will cover all the bases to help you take your Clients' visions beyond their wildest dreams.
Designers will construct multiple installations at an amazingly beautiful, historic, and private venue in downtown Charleston called The Gadsden House. There will also be sessions on reimagining the bouquet, and tablescape.
All will be captured on film, including new headshots, by the amazing Clay Austin Photography. His images literally take our breath away.
Lauren Anderson and Rachel Bridgwood co-founded Sweet Root Village in 2010 out of a love for all things creative, unique, and heart-felt. Located in the Washington DC area this dynamic duo has stolen the floral spotlight with designs featured in Martha Stewart, Magnolia Rouge, Style Me Pretty and People.
Lauren and Rachel are natural born educators. When not designing jaw-dropping weddings, they are sharing their floral knowledge and business savvy on various platforms such as speaking engagements, featured florist workshops, through their mentoring program, and on social media.
Clay is an incredibly talented
globe-trotting photographer based here in Charleston. His style can be described as ethereal, authentic, and evocative.
Clay will be documenting our design journey looking for "windows of honesty, and that spark that makes us love what we do." In his own words... "I am a firm believer in true love, and I try my hardest to document it in its most raw and authentic form.
His dreamy work has been published by Vogue, Wedding Sparrow, Magnolia Rouge, and Martha Stewart Weddings!
Toni is passionate about connection & opportunity in the floral industry. Roadside Blooms has been a passion since 2012 and has gone from a mobile flower truck to a successful and exponentially growing floral design company and retail shop.
She takes pride in being the pioneer designer in Charleston to use nearly 100% American and locally grown flowers in all her work. The Foraged Collective, Toni's heart project, has brought incredible talent to the area where meaningful transformation has happened for participants.
Imagine a fairy-godmother with impeccable design taste, organization skills that would rock your world, and the best can-do, fun attitude. That's Amy of Buttercup Events! She'll be helping Toni organize and plan all of the details of the workshop and ensure that we all have a magical and meaningful experience.
For ten years prior to moving to Charleston she designed and executed events in New York, The Hampton's, New Jersey, and Miami. Her goal is always to create something
authentic and unique!

Camflor is one of the largest cut flower growers in the US, founded by the Campos family who immigrated in 1980 from Mexico to follow their dreams. They offer a wide variety of cut flowers and greens and are committed to social and environmental responsibility.
Meet Paul Furman
of California Pajarosa Floral
Since 1979, The Furman and Mitchell families have revolutionized how roses are grown commercially in the US. Their hydroponic methods reduce water run-off and waste, consistently grow higher quality roses and increase plant density and therefore production. In addition to roses, Pajarosa offers other types of cut flowers and greenery year round. Pajarosa is the largest rose grower in America.

Jerri, Mike, and Erica have been supplying high quality smilax to floral designers for over 20 years. They are family owned and operated and are harvesting fresh and hardy Texas-grown smilax 10 months
out of the year!
